My dad told me I should go into advertising ever since I put together a persuasive pitch presentation on why I should be allowed to listen to Blink 182’s “Take off Your Pants and Jacket”, despite being far too young to understand the subject matter and constant use of profanity. The pitch included terrible drawings, and verbal testimony from my older brother.
I find that being a lifelong Toronto sports and Minnesota Vikings fan has taught me a lot of transferable skills that I’ve taken into my work, like confidence, positivity, and hope. I treat every brief and opportunity like it could be the best idea I’ve had yet, just as I go into every season believing it will be the best one yet.
I am very driven to find the next big idea. With experience working on mediums like radio, direct mail, print, radio, broadcast and cinema, I believe that there is no project that can’t benefit from a little wit, and outside the box thinking.
